The Ride Custom Back is not only better suited for the traditional custom seating user, but also has unique features that make it a great match for active users and growing children.

Thin profile:
Our thin profile and light weight has little or no impact on wheelchair seat depth, width or performance, making it appropriate even for active users. Weight and bulk of traditional custom systems make them inadequate for the active user.

Adjustable:
A thin profile and our infinitely adjustable FlexLoc wheelchair interface permits adjustment in every axis of movement ensuring optimal balance and postural control. Traditional custom is carved or molded out of large, cumbersome blocks of foam, severely limiting adjustability.

Breathable:
Breathability helps maintain dry air space around the trunk, thus improving body temperature regulation and promoting healthier skin. Traditional custom has no mechanism for dealing with heat and moisture.

Growable:
The Ride Custom Back can be modified for linear growth and weight change at a fraction of the cost of a new back. Traditional custom systems lack any mechanism for dealing with users’ growth and change over time.

Washable:
All components can be disassembled and sanitized. One piece construction of traditional systems precludes disassembly for cleaning.
