This mattress is used for the maintenance of skin health; the prevention and treatment of stage I-IV pressure ulcers.

This system utilizes three modalities of therapy to treat pressure ulcers. First, low air loss technology with a high flow rate provides pressure and moisture management for the treatment of pressure ulcers. Second, advanced 3-1 alternation provides active pressure relief: for every three cells, one cell alternates in deflation, off-loading pressure on the body and ensuring 2/3 of the body is always supported at any time. Third, for people who cannot tolerate alternation, pulsation provides a gentler means of increasing blood flow through the entire body, while fully supporting the body under all 18 cells for optimum comfort.
